We offer a variety of ways to participate in farm life and love finding ways to engage with more individuals and groups in Covid safe ways!

VOLUNTEERING

We love volunteers and would love to host you. We ask a minimum commitment of 3 hours and in exchange, you’ll always go home with fresh farm food. 

Note: Proper attire is requested, including: refillable water bottle, long sleeve light shirt or sunscreen, hat with a brim, close-toed shoes, and snacks as you need them! During Covid times we also request you wear a mask while on the property. If you happen to forget, we will gladly provide one for you.

“Work-Share” Program


For folks who want to learn more about farming without the intense commitment, you may be our next Work-Share! In exchange for 4 hours of regularly scheduled volunteer work a week you receive a share in our CSA program and priority hiring for the following season if you decide to stay on!

School Groups


We love to host school groups and provide tours and activities. We work with several local schools already and If you are a teacher looking for a way to get your students outside, send us a message with your ideas and we can figure something out! Some compensation or work trade is appreciated but not required, depending on what is best suited for your student’s needs.

Talks & Presentations


Chispas Farms Head Farmer Casey is a natural teacher and loves sharing on almost all topics farm related. They have presented for the Bernalillo County Backyard farming training series, at the NM Organic Farming Conference, presented on panels for Three Sisters Kitchen, at the Bioneers Conference, for Casa de Salud, and much more with great reviews for their knowledge, preparedness, and the energy and passion they bring. Some compensation for these requests or work trade is appreciated but not required, depending on what the request is.
